Ellen ShannonEllen Shannon - Owner/Program Director/Head Coach

For many years as a manager and supervisor in the restaurant industry, Ellen was only involved in fitness on a personal level. She became an avid long distance runner and always enjoyed many outdoor activities such as water skiing, snowboarding, hiking, biking and any other activity that could be done outside.

In 2003 she decided to embark on a new career when she began attending USM in Portland to obtain a certificate in fitness instruction. Since then she hasn't looked back. In her work as a personal trainer, she enjoys focusing on each client to create and implement a program that is effective and realistic with each person's goals and abilities.

Recognizing the lack of fitness instruction and a facility in the Ossipee NH region, she decided to pursue a certification with NESTA to be able to bring a women's only outdoor Adventure Boot Camp to the area. As an Adventure Boot Camp instructor, Ellen enjoys helping people of all ages and abilities achieve their fitness goals in a fun, friendly and supportive environment. With her success there, the next logical step was to open Ellen Shannon's Fitness Studio in Ossipee to serve as a base for the outdoor camp, private training and the TRX class.
